Thanksgiving Leftovers With Daddy

I guess it is a man thing - eating items from the fridge
COLD. I sure don't like to do it!! Bruce is sharing this
trait with Royanne.

Cold turkey AND cold dressing.
Right there on the kitchen island.

Turkey, grapes and peas, with a side of
baby powder.

Her Own Stool

Bruce is real good at wood working. He saw something like this
in a magazine and made it for Royanne.
We call it her stool.
It can be adjusted as she gets taller. The standing surface
can be lowered and secured in the different notches.

She really likes it. She can see what I am doing on the
island - which has its good points and also bad - but
her movements can also be contained when coloring
or finger painting (which I am working up the
nerve to do). In this picture she is working
on a puzzle.

Here she is coloring. This is also a great temptation
for her because when she thinks I'm not paying
attention, she tries to climb up on the island. She's a real
good climber, don't forget!

Here she is trying to assist with the family
finances.........

........trying to plan out a better strategy.

Looking at a calendar from last year, on the
DECEMBER page.

She loves pecking on the calculator. It is like the
buttons on the TV, cell phones, remotes.......
but this is a yes-yes, not a no-no.

Seeing the view in the calculator change while
punching buttons fascinates her.

Flipping pages.

Taking a crayon to it.
(Left handed)

She really looks like she's doing something
important, huh?

She Loves Her Silky

Shots after waking up from her nap.

Whooped after a trip to H.E.B. Grocery.
Bruce taught her to say H.E.B.
It is so cute!!!

How Much Do You Love.....

How much do you love mommie?

How much do you love daddy?

The Sand Box Lives Outside Now

Well, whatcha know? It is the same thrill outside as inside and as on
the mudporch...............spilling sand on the ground is the first
thing on the agenda.
Special talents include, but are not limited to,
the following................

Scooping and filling tasks.

Pouring from one cup to another.

Moving from one area (intended place) to another
site (dog food bowl).

Sharing. With the dog.

Playing at a New Park

It's New To Us....................

We discovered a pretty good playing area for little ones at a
neighborhood church. They have Mother's Day Out, & so far
we've been lucky and have had the
place to ourselves.
*
Rock play is as fun as running and climbing.

Chewing on sunglasses just like an adult!

Royanne really liked the

plexiglass feature.

Climbing up to slide down.

Hands in the air ..........

swooshing on by.

Custom Sandbox

We decided Royanne needed a sandbox. So, why not make a frame
that could hold a plastic container with a tight fitting lid, so
it'd keep out critters. We had a container and enough wood
in the garage, & even paint. All we needed was good clean
sand.
*
True to form, Royanne had to stand in it. She was also
able to get in it herself. She's such a good little
climber!!

Looking at the brace/bar.

Gonna go horizontal.

Finished product with sand!
In the house!

Very much excellent fun!

Sandbox moved to mudporch.

Piece of scrap wood added to conserve sand.
I finally moved it all the way outside!
I was trying to keep it inside on the porch so she could
play even when it was chilly, but she loves to
disperse sand too much!!
