One word says it all!

Visiting Mimi's and Aunt Kay's

One night I went over Kay's for dinner and Julie joined us,
Amanda stopped by, Mimi was there. Royanne was
playing with Liam and I got this really neat-o
shot of them playing through the back door. The sun was
coming through in a very unusual way.

Mimi and Ro sharing a private joke.

We came over for lunch after church and Liam didn't
understand it wasn't someone's birthday or a holiday, so Craig
let him blow up balloons anyway.

Getting ready to eat without the
church dress!

After lunch, Royanne didnt't have anything else to do,
so she showed us how she can
CLIMB THE STAIRS!
Liam musta taught her when we
weren't looking!!

New Shoes & Sleep-overs

Last week Abby came to spend the night with Royanne.
Royanne was trying to get something from behind the
desk. It was really funny watching her.

Here she is trying to reach it.

She couldn't reach it, so she decided standing on her
tiptoes might make it attainable. She was also
screaming in frustration. (Notice the dowels going through
the drawer handles to keep nosey fingers OUT!)

She tried sitting down again and wanted someone
to help her.

I went over to see what she was after and I moved
the desk chair. It was an orange cup that she
carries around full of ice chips.

Here I was trying to convince her to come around
to the front of the desk, but she was having
none of it.

Eventually I took her by the hand and showed her
she could now reach her plastic cup from the front
of the desk.

She was a happy girl again.

Mimi is contributing to the LOVE*OF*SHOES!
She found some Dorothy shoes, & even though they are
currently too big, we had Abby do the honors.

She looked like she had flipper feet!

But she didn't care, she LOVED them!

Going outside to play. Water is usually a factor.

I had some old bread, so they tore it up for the birds.

Abby understood: Royanne had a stale snack!

Happy to have a sleep over companion.

I made Abby a pallet in Ro's room with 3 quilts, 2 afghans, 2 blankets
and a sheet. Royanne squealed with delight! It took those girls a while
to go to sleep!

The next morning after breakfast, it was off to the
land of toys (and strowing them).

They enjoyed the couch Royanne got for her birthday from
Aunt Tammy & Uncle Darrell.

She usually has her afternoon milk stretched out on the couch.
(Is she copying a grown-up?)

Dancing around and being very silly girls!

Sweet cousin!

Daddy's Little Helper

WHO COULD RESIST THIS FACE, EVEN WHEN IT'D MAKE
THE JOB TAKE TWICE AS LONG?

I hope Royanne grows up to be like my friend Julie.
Julie is an only child and her daddy spent a lot of time with her.
Kay and I say Julie knows a lot about a lot of things.
She can do routine maintenance on her car,
knows about carpentry and gardening. When we have a
question about ANYTHING, we call Julie!

Royanne is very curious about something she sees for
the first time. When mom brought a gate for the hallway,
after Ro became mobile and could disappear quietly
on the other side of the house, Bruce was unable
to install it, so mom and I (with the "help" of
Royanne and Abby) did. Well, after while it was a little
rickety. It still worked, but it was going to 'waller' a hole in the wall,
so Bruce went about fixing it as soon as he could.

RO WANTED TO HELP, DONTCHA KNOW!

"Let me just watch"

"Let me hold it, let me help"

"Let me watch closer"

"Let me TOUCH!"

Eating Is Always An Adventure!

TRADITIONAL STANDBY: CHEERIOS

Sometimes Royanne is hungry as a bear! She will wake up hungry &
stay that way all day. Other days, she doesn't care a bit about breakfast and
that carries through for the rest of the day.
Then, the next day, she plays catch up!

This was her first try at juice in a box. Needless to say,
what with the squeezing because it was "new", it
leaked and I didn't like it. She perfected the straw on
her own. Just one day she could use one! I think she wanted
a straw Bruce had and he held it for her and felt it get cold.
We didn't know she knew how.

First try at an ice cream sandwich!
She L*O*V*E*S them and she knows
they came from the fridge in the garage!

Pure heaven, she says!

First try with spaghetti noodles. Bruce made spaghetti with a chunky
sauce..... stewed tomatoes and Italian sausage, sauteed onions,
not very drippy/messy. She loved it! She likes spicy breakfast
sausage, Asiago and sharp cheddar cheese, and of course,
radishes!

Playing with noodles.

Silly face when I asked her to smile
for the camera.

I don't know if you can tell, but she has jelly on her
face. Bruce has been eating 5-6 peanut butter & jelly
sandwiches per day, trying in vain to gain back some of
the weight he lost from being ill, and she is a
complete and total bum!

Another day of PB&J bumming.

Washing it down with lemonade......
lemonade made from scratch and pretty
strong. She loves it!

Macaroni and cheese. Look at the residue from the
cheese on her tray. Made with Velvetta....very creamy and thick.

Mac & Cheese face.

Daddy's Little Tiger

The Tee-shirt Royanne won for entering the mysportsbaby.com
contest arrived. I thought it best, since the picture submitted
was in her golf attire, to pick a tee-shirt that was golf related, even
though there wasn't a thing feminine about it.

Royanne smiled for the picture because she
was just glad to see her golf club again.

Big girl cup and sippy cup are both needed when the temperature
is 100. The big girl cup holds ice. She is an ice chewer. Loves it!

Winnie the Pooh makes a golf cart, did ya know that?

Picking up the golf club.
Can't drive and drive at the
same time, if you know what I mean!

Watermelon or not?

Hmmmmm.......this looks like an H.E.B. bag. They usually have F*O*O*D inside!

Bruce had been to Central Market when he was in the
neighborhood at a doctor visit, and brought home some
fruit. One such piece of fruit was a melon, called Santa Claus Melon.

Royanne is aware the green cloth bags hold food, and being nosey,
she went to investigate.

Out rolled this melon. It looks alot like a
watermelon, but she knew she was unable to pick up
a watermelon, because she had tried before.

She got on one side of it, and then the other,
trying to decide how to approach this problem.

She decided to pick it up afterall.
She was really grunting.

(Bruce's doctor said if you want to know how to lift
something heavy properly, watch a baby).

She could move it but not lift it and
SHE WAS MAD!

They ate it and she loved it! Bruce said it is
sort of like a cantaloupe, but sweeter.
