Watching Black Jack on T. V. at Aunt Kay's

Royanne told me she wanted to play cards.

So, I'm trying to remember where the matching/memory

game is and she says, "if you want another card

you tap your fingers, (and she taps the table

with four fingers) which means

'I'll take another, thank you' but if you do this,

(and she moves her extended fingers back and forth, palm

side down, right above the surface of the table)

it means 'no thanks, I don't need any more cards.' "

I'm rolling and laughing hysterically and she's

about to be really mad because she

thinks I'm laughing at her, which I am, but

not like she thinks.

So hilarious, this girl of mine!!!

UT-OH!!

"Momma, you gotta be careful when you have gas,
because it might be diarrhea!!"

What To Say?

So she comes to me and says "Can I have a drink of your tea?"

and I could smell her breath.... so I said

"What is that you're eating?

Is it chocolate? Where did you get it?

Who said you could have it?"

She just looked at me. 1 sec , 2 seconds, 3seconds,
4 seconds 5 seconds pass and she says:

"It's a long story!"

Bag of Coal

I was talking to Royanne about good and bad behavior and coal. afterwards I asked her what she would get toys or coal. she said a little of both

Scissors

Royanne: (from the bathroom) Dad, whatever you do, don't tell mom. She'll get really mad at me!
Me: (from the bedroom) What did she do?
Dad: (coming down the hall) She used sharp scissors to open the hot chocolate package.
Royanne: (upon entering and hearing us talking about her) Am I in trouble? Are you going to make me stand in that HATEFUL CORNER?!
Me: (suppressing a grin) No, since you didn't get hurt, that's all that is important.
Royanne: (going over to her desk) Maybe I should take some of these kid scissors in the kitchen for me to use!

Royanne said, "I had the best three days, ever!"

The Congo River and several other tube rides

I cannot remember the names of, and not

once exhibited any fear. She loves the water!

Professionally Speaking

Royanne was sorting her hair ties, bows, etc., in piles. She just

got some new ones from Abby. She told me she was

separating them professionally.

Paul & Silas (and Uncle Roger)

Mom takes Royanne on Wednesdays after she
gets finished working her half day with the bone doctors.
She told me that she was telling R that Uncle Roger was
going to be going to Guatemala to teach them about Jesus.
R thought for a moment and then said, "Do you mean like
Paul and Silas did?"



Mom's comment to me: Don't think she's not listening in class!
