Puttin' On The Paint

Everything is "paint":
nail polish, regular paint, egg dye.....

Blue is her favorite, green mine. These were the
colors chosen.

Yummy chocolate bunny from Abby &
Liam's grandparents. They are always so good
to think of her on holidays!

She is such a lover of bags and purses. This little
$1 felt basket from Target was a big hit.
She tried to cram all of her Easter candy into it.

She opened each and every egg and dumped
them all together
into the green basket.

Each year I'm going to put a glass or ceramic
bunny in her basket and when she leaves home,
she can have all of her decorations!

Searching through the big basket for more goodies.
She had more fun things in the big
basket than candy.

I drew the line at opening the little bags
of M&Ms!!

Time With Cousins

Scenes from Annie spending a night
with the cousins.

Mimi bought the girls matching
Easter dresses.

Easter and the bluebomits
(bonnets).

Easter egg hunt at the cousins' house.

Annie thought she was really
becoming a pro!

Liam was searching intently.

Jumpin' on the Trampoline

We went to Rachel, Steven and Carter's
on Good Friday. We had family gathered there
from close by, and from out of town. Bruce's dad came down
with Janice and Joe from Ft. Worth.

The kids were jumping on
the trampoline and Annie wanted to, of
course. It seemed very big to me, not at
all like Dylan's with the net!

Carter being Carter!

Ditto!

She had a blast. She's been told for months
when she's fully potty trained (meaning #2
in the POTTY) she can have a trampoline
with a net for her birthday.
This was good incentive. She hasn't done #2 in
the potty, but she knows there is a goal!

Blue Skies & Rainbows

We were at the grocery store and Annie was singing, quite loudly, "He makes His home in my heart...never more will I be all alone since He promised me that we never will part."

over and over and over, just that part. Too cute!

Look Up

Sometimes Annie's food intake gets
off track --- she'll be starving at 5, I let her eat
a nutritous snack, Bruce comes home and
at dinner, she isn't very hungry. I offer her
a snack at 8pm and sometimes she
takes me up on it. Sometimes not.
Then at bedtime, she wants to eat!

Wednesdays are always weird because we are in
the car when we are normally cooking or eating.
So, on the way to church she asked for
a kids' meal, so I said yes. Chicken, of course.

As we were waiting in the drive-thru line,
she looked out the
window (she's on the side now, not in the middle
of the back seat, due to a hump that doesn't get
along with the new car seat - and yes, I
worry about the side position) and looked
up and said, "God lives up there, up high,
in heaven."

I agreed with her, smiling.

After she got her meal, she looked
out the window & up
again and said, "Look Jesus, I got a kids' meal!"

Real Conversation

It is a weird subject, but we had a real 2 way
conversation. I mean one where she
actually waited for the answer.
I mean one that didn't have to do
with anything we always do.
It was from a learning experience
she had *sniff* *sniff* without me.

Annie asked me if we recycled and
I showed her the bin with the coke cans, tomato
boxes, milk jugs. Then she told me she needed
to take them ALL to school Thursday. The school
calendar shows to bring ONE recycle item Thursday.

How cute!

DRESS UP & MAKE BELIEVE

Royanne's imagination is really taking off
these days! I hear her talking to her dolls,
sometimes her Barbies, and she is quoting some
things she's heard me say, and others she's made up
on her own. I really enjoy standing outside
her bedroom door listening. She also has
conversations while in the bathtub
with her various tub toys. When she dresses
up, new personalities emerge!

Here she is thoroughly enjoying being
dressed up at a tea party.

In this picture, she was quick to grab
the other wig when I put one on my head.

Bruce was seeing how well an old lap top
would run some programs and kids'
games, and she jumped up there like
she knew how to play solitaire.
I had to take a picture!

Princess dress, fairy tutu, raggedy hat,
ring gems and plastic food.

Here she brought a bunch of stuff from her
bedroom to the living room. I really try to
keep certain things in certain rooms (it is my
fruitless stab at organization). One day she
may understand - and follow - my rationale.

maybe?

Praying before eating.

Admiring new shoes from Aunt Kay.

This day, she wanted to take her messenger bag
that was the goodie bag from Abby's
birthday party, daddy's cowboy hat, her
silky and her egg gathering Easter basket with her
on our errands. She also wanted to wear her PJ top.
At first I said no because I'd
end up keeping up with it, then I decided it was ok....
so I said YES!

Don't you wear clip on earrings with your
PJs and sunglasses?

And if they fall off because they are *JUNK*,
then you attach them a little higher up
the ear!

This is a picture of Camryn in Ft. Worth (Connor's
sister). It was her first birthday. Lots of fun!

At this party, there were a lot of kids running around and
they were playing some sort of seeking, hunting,
chasing game, and Royanne was right in there
with the boys, and we discovered she was
holding the gun like this!!!

Bruce showed her how to hold it but soon
she was back to her way.

Necklaces and bracelets!

Practicing being a chef and good cook!

Real skillet, real utensil, plastic food.

Doll tea party. Lots of instruction went on
in there!

Filling cups and bowls with dried beans
and lentils. Each container had a spoon.
After she loaded up this pan, she put it in her
oven, spoons and all.

In this pictures you can see her
wearing a sweater that is a 3 month old sized,
currently for her bears, and an orange dress with
lace that was Abby's and eventually Annie's, also
now intended for her bears. The hat matched some
6 month old sized PJs.

She begged me to put them on her.

Then there was the morning I was washing
clothes and she found a bra.....
