Last year was really a fiasco looking for
Bluebonnets for pictures. Bruce was having his severe
back issues, and the flowers were in short supply.
We were unable to find any locally - with the
exception of highway roadside - so we went
way over towards LaGrange and Round Top.
This year we didn't venture as far -but
looked almost in vain - and ended up finding
a small cluster at Old Settler's Park.
And I do mean small.
And of course, you know Elmo had
to come along!
Not sure about the touching on the
leg part.
Enjoying the wind.
The hat wouldn't stay on!
the hat down.
Getting a closer look at something.
The small cluster.
Wind!
Trying to hold her hair down.
figuring they'd have nicely
kept landscaping.
"granddaughter";
I didn't explain, I just smiled and
said "Thank you".
Wouldn't you know it, the next time we went
to church I saw Bluebonnets there! I don't
know how I missed them before, except maybe I
was watching Annie in the mirror as I was
driving, because she gets excited when we
turn onto the drive on the church grounds.

We did ours up at Brentwood and they turned out great. If you want to travel, they are WONDERFUL and AWESOME just East of Brenham, before Chappell Hill - you can park on the side of the road at Texain Ranch Beefmasters and it's ACRES of bluebonnets! Oh - they are thick and beautiful there!
