As April Comes To An End

Because Royanne has become more and MORE mobile,
Bruce set up a fencing system in the livingroom so she can play-
but be contained and therefore safe-
while I am in the kitchen or laundry room.

New Gerber Baby?

Earlier this month we went on a series of half-day
trips to find a few Bluebonnets for
picture ops. Very little rain=very little Bluebonnets!

We stopped in Elgin because they were working on
the train line and it would be safe for a picture.

(I hope Royanne learns to like trains!)

LA GRANGE

We stopped for a snack at a park.
Royanne has fallen in love with radishes.
I am sure it is their coldness and firmness
that appeals to her teething....She's working
on tooth number seven!!!

LUNCHTIME!
Always happy!

She loves pickles too!

Lunch was fine; now on to the trek for flowers.....

We finally found a field of assorted flowers
in Round Top. We went through Elgin and LaGrange.
Each turn held no good backdrops.
Highway 290 was disappointing.

SLEEP OVER WITH
COUSIN ABBY

Daddy/Uncle Bruce fashioned a tent in the bedroom
with the air mattress, some wood and
sheets.

It took quite a while for everyone to settle down,
from all the fun you know; popcorn, bottles.....
Sleepie time for Carol was only from 1am until 7am!!

GOING VISITIN'

Royanne went to her Great Great Aunt Jessie's and saw
a doll HER OWN SIZE!
At first she thought it was another baby.

POOL FUN

Since Royanne loves to take a bath
-(actually it is the water part she loves, not the bath part)-
We decided it was time for her first pool.
It is so cute! So small!

SPLISH! SPLASH!
I'm not taking a bath!

Pokey and Royanne are pool friends. He loves to drop
his toy in the water and expects her to throw
it for him. Shortly, I'm sure she will!

Always curious.....

What's this nub?

Royanne, always the observant one, located the
place where to air up the pool right away,
and began tugging on it.

She found the one on the bottom, too.

MAKING GOOD USE OF THE DECK

A few days after Royanne's dedication,

we took the cake and highchair

outside and let her have some fun!

Maybe I talk about baby contests too much?
This week when Bruce said, "Kiss the baby
in the mirror." .......She did!

Does this remind you of the line
"Whatcha talkin' 'bout Willis?"
from the 70's sitcom?

These blocks were borrowed from Aunt Kay.
They were first Kay's, then Bonner's, then Amanda's.
They were put away and brought back out for Abby & Liam.

Now Royanne has the pleasure of their company.
I guess these are really old blocks:
They are 40 years old!

Day dreaming of things to come.......

Last month Royanne went to Ft. Worth to see
Connor and they went to Chuckie Cheese
...........her first trip.
Heather told me it would be the first of many.

At the end of a longgggggggggg day.

Ohhh - I love all the pictures! Ro is sooo precious. My favorite ones are 1) the ones where its just you and Ro or Bruce and Ro at lunch and she is looking into your eyes - too cute! 2) The one with the lamb cake where its head has fallen off - I love the look on her face. 3) The one where she is looking in the mirror to kiss the baby. Sooo sweet! And how fun is Bruce for making the tent for Ro and Abby!? That is great.
We love and miss you!
(did my picture tips help any from the other day?)

I love that Bruce set up a tent for Ro and Abby to play in - how fun! The pictures of her in the pool are very sweet - girl, you are gonna have your hands FULL with her! She and Addie shouldn't be left alone together very often, they might share their secrets with one another on how to make Mommy stay movin' all day long.

Did you ever go out to Old Settlers Park, back where the baseball/softball fields are for bluebonnet pictures?
