Eating Birthday Cake * * * OUTSIDE!!

So, in all the excitement, we neglected to have Royanne
eat (destroy) her birthday cake after the gift opening, with an audience.

So, the three of us did it by ourselves. The cake was fashioned
after her locally distributed birth announcement, which
was a HERSHEY'S candy bar that said
HERESHEIS (Here she is).

The candles said "THE BIG 1"
She had a hat that matched. For three weeks, at
diaper changes on the changing table, I'd put her
"The Big 1" hat on her head and sing
"Happy Birthday" to her, so at her party, she'd have
a better tendency to leave her hat on. Practice makes perfect, right?
(She used to leave hats and headbands on as a small
kiddo - now she takes them off!)
Well, because I was slightly illin' at the party, I forgot
all about the hat!!! when we sang to her,
and also again, when she ate her cake. :(

At first she didn't believe she could play in her food.
She thought she was being tested for obedience
training.

After she believed it was permitted, she had fun.

She wasn't crazy about eating it - she's not real
acquainted with sugar just yet.

She liked holding a real fork, that I am sure of!
Check out the blurred hand movement....

Still, really not quite sure why she is doing this.

Realizing it is all for a picture op for mom AGAIN.....

THE END!!

Messy birthday cake pictures are always my very favorite. She seemed to stay pretty clean! LOL
Love the cake idea!
